Washington, D.C. – June 1, 2025
In a commanding display of attacking football, DC Hyper delivered its most dominant performance of the season, defeating Rockville SC by 8-0 on Saturday night at Edgewood Rec Center, and keeping the UPSL DMV North Premier Division title race wide open heading into the final round.

The result lifted DC Hyper to 20 points, just two behind MSI Pro, and gave the Thunder a significant advantage in goal differential (+17 vs. +11). With one match left to play, the championship will be decided in the final round — and DC Hyper now controls the tiebreaker in case of a points draw.

It was a night to remember in Washington, with the team showcasing creativity, pressure, and relentless finishing from the first minute. Jiovanny Mora led the way with a hat-trick, while Hassan ElSayed scored twice and delivered one of his best performances of the campaign. Lucas Tavares, João Baesso, and Pedrinho each added a goal to complete the rout.

“It was a complete performance — we respected the game, played with intensity, and executed the plan,” said Head Coach Sergio Caetano. “But now the focus is fully on the final. We know we’ll have to deliver again.”

With the title on the line, DC Hyper now prepares for a decisive Week 9 matchup against Frederick Kings, where three points could secure the club’s first regular-season title under this current UPSL format.
